Veena is the instrument of Goddess Saraswati. In Hindu Mythology, Saraswati is the Goddess of Music. She is the Veena Pustaka Dharini ie: she holds the divine source of sound and wisdom.
Double bird heads perch atop two carved toombas of different size. It has 7 strings: 7 main strings, 6 sympathetic and 2 chikari strings. Comes with a bone bridge and a brass end plate. Decorations may vary. 28" L x 5.5" W X 11.5" D This is a functioning piece, but is not recommended for students, it is more a decor item.
