Standard wooden tabla is paired with a copper bayan. Both are strap tuned. Set includes cushions, covers, tuning hammer and nylon case. Sajid is renowned for top quality tabla. He hand selects the skins for each head. Each head is manufactured to exact specifications. Then the mounting begins. Sajid will mount and re-mount the head a dozen times to make sure of the proper fit and sound. the beautiful finish on the bayan has a soft tone and is not a stark copper color. Cushion colors and patterns may vary. Sajid lives in a city called Hyderabad and he makes his tablas in the same city.
